Justice Bipinchandra J. Divan is on record as Gujarat’s very first Centurion Blood Donor. Former Chief Justice of Gujarat & Andhra Pradesh High Courts, he is also India’s First Centurion to hail from the Judiciary.

During his tenure as President of the Ahmedabad Red Cross in from 1984 to 1988, he encouraged his friend Late Shri J. L. Thakore to donate his house for the Red Cross Bhavan. An active Trustee of Divan Ballubhai High School, he motivated several parents and teachers to donate their blood and inculcate the culture of blood donation amongst students.
